Considered the finest coffee produced in Brazil. The small fragrant beans make a fair roast with a mild, unique and smooth flavor. The coffee is rich and full-bodied with moderate acidity that sharpens with age. Often used for blending. Latin American Coffees are known for their slightly sweet, lively acidity. These beans are roasted to the “American Roast” — two shades lighter than our standard “Full City” roast. A lighter roast will present subtle sweet and sour notes rather than the usual sharp and bitter notes presented by our standard ‘darker’ roast. Grown in the Ethiopian Highlands. A medium-bodied coffee with a smooth, pleasingly palatable acidity and a distinct, soft winey character. Nice lively after-taste. Exciting. African Coffees often have sweet, fruity flavors reminiscent of the aroma from a bowl of fresh fruit. This fruitiness is balanced by a somewhat tart acidity. The varying flavor balances reveal coffees that range in character from mellow and softly textured to vibrant and zesty.

The flavor is distinguished more by the degree of roast than by the particular beans used. Ahrre uses a blend of dense, hard Arabica beans from Latin America because these beans develop the dark-roast flavor better and will stand up to the heat and duration of the roast. The flavor is dominated by the smokey “burnt” nuance of the ebony colored beans.This coffee is suitable for use in espresso machines, although it is tasty when made in any brewer. The aroma is balanced and complex, and the flavor is intense, full- bodied, and rich with natural oils.

Per pound. Grown in Antigua — the most celebrated coffee growing district in Guatemala — at altitudes 4,500 feet or higher. A medium to full-bodied coffee, distinctively aromatic, lively and tangy with soft acidity and an almost spicy-smokey flavor. Widely considered to be the perfectly balanced coffee. Per pound. We carry only 100% Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee. This is NOT a blend! JBL is the world’s rarest and most celebrated coffee. It tends to present as sweet, mellow and full-bodied with a perfect balance between aroma, body and acidity. It is grown at high altitudes on very steep slopes, making the beans extremely difficult to harvest. “The dearer the fruit, the sweeter the taste!”. A fine mountain-grown Arabica bean, becoming increasingly rare. A rich and smooth full-bodied coffee, exhibiting a thick syrupyness, exquisite acid balance, and a deep, fragrant, complex aroma, with subtle hints of bittersweet chocolate. Introducing the Peaberry…. Peaberry is a type of coffee bean. Most coffee trees produce cherries with two seeds or “beans” as we know them. These are called “flat berries.” Occasionally, cherries will produce only one seed, known as a peaberry. These special coffee beans are slightly smaller than the norm, but pack a more concentrated flavor. Peaberry beans are widely reputed to roast better than the standard flat berries. They are said to roast more evenly, because their rounder shape minimizes sharp edges and allows the berries to roll about the roasting chamber more easily, as well as because the alleged higher bean density may improve heat transfer in the roasting process. Tanzanian Peaberry Tanzanian Peaberry is a wonderful blend of organic coffee, shade-grown on the slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro and sourced from small farmers in Tanzania, East Africa, who are paid three times fair-trade value! Tanzania Peaberry is special because it is rare. Only 10% of coffee beans are peaberry bean

African Coffees tend to have sweet, fruity flavors which are balanced by a somewhat tart acidity. By blending the various African coffees together, these characteristics are emphasized. The African Blend is a medium to full-bodied blend of coffee beans grown exclusively in East Africa. Although coffee is grown in other parts of Africa, the best Arabica beans come from the high mountainous regions in the tropical belt of East Africa. The beans and brew emit a fragrant, fruity bouquet. Our very own special blend of coffees recomended for the preparation of Espresso & Cappuccino but in no way restricted to it. This blend includes Colombian and Brazilian Coffees for a rich and smooth flavor, with a generous amount of French Roast added to give the blend its characteristic bitter snap. Farid’s Exotic Blend combines the rich nuttiness and complexity of Indonesian Arabicas with the snappy tang of Latin American Arabicas and a touch of fruitiness typical of East African Arabicas. Ultimately, the regional characteristics are de-emphasized and the commonalities of the coffees used are emphasized. The result is a robust and well balanced blend with a deep, resonant aroma. The flavor is hearty and well structured, yet elegantly refined. This blend is named for Farid Sajid, a great source of inspiration, encouragement and support to Roastmaster Ahrre. This blend highlights the harmonious flavor attributes of some of the Western Hemisphere’s finest Arabicas. The Roastmasters’ favorite; this blend is 60% Indonesian and 40% French Roast. Recommended to all the West Coast transplants, and people who just don’t feel that kick from the Morning Blend anymore. We soak four pounds of our Columbian light roast in four gallons of water for a minimum of 18 hours, at room temperature.
